Seminary: More than an 教育

One of the most prevalent questions asked today is, “Why should I move to campus to pursue a degree that I can complete where I am?” The answer is simple: you need more than an education; you need training. This training that Christ requires for his chosen leaders is as much “caught” as “taught.” And while many students think they are the exception and can be trained apart from the presence of a community of wise and tough mentors, we think otherwise. Gospel ministry is warfare in Christ’s kingdom, so go to boot-camp and be trained.

Life on Campus

At the core of the Christian life is union with Christ and fellowship with his Church. So too, that is what campus life at Midwestern is all about. We recognize that the classroom is not enough to prepare you for ministry. You need more. Our Student Life and 事件 office is always thinking about how to connect you with other classmates. From small things like block parties and ping-pong tournaments to big events like the Fall Festival, we want you to enjoy this season with the students around you. Because the relationships here will last throughout your ministry, we help you make friends, and make them count.

Class Options

Standard Classes

The bulk of our classes meet in the fall and spring semesters during the daytime hours, Monday-Friday. Classes may meet twice a week for 1.5 hours, or once a week for 3 hours.

Night Classes

If you can only attend classes in the evening, we offer evening courses every fall and spring semester. To learn how to complete an entire MDiv through evening courses, 点击这里.

Block Scheduling

If your work schedule only allows you to be on campus one day per week, that’s not a problem. Each semester, on multiple days of the week, we stagger 3-hour block classes from 8am–9:30pm so that students can earn a full load of 9-12 credit hours in one day.

Each summer and winter term, and sometimes during the fall and spring semesters, we offer one-week intensive classes. Students are only expected on campus for one week, but must fulfill pre- and post-course material to complete the class requirements.
